Sarah's Palin's Some Kind of Challenged, or Where the Hell Have We Been for 10 Months?!

Reigniting this blog once again. Maybe it will last this time. Maybe Sarah Palin will defeat Joe Biden.

No, this is impossible. The only way Joe Biden loses tomorrow is if

A) He starts laughing at her out loud
B) He makes her cry (people don't like to see people bullied, even if the bully gets his/her comeuppance)
C) He dies
D) He makes too much fun of her Downs Syndrome son, pregnant daughter, her affairs, etc.

Joe Biden will not do these things because he'll be ready to go and not just blathering on, which is normally when he screws up.

If you read this article, all Palin has to do, it seems, is not fuck up horribly. The Republicans have become the masters of low expectation so much that their candidates don't have to do much to "win" anything anymore. Morals are on their side so no one even questions when John McCain leaves his disfigured wife for the Plastic Queen. The Republicans get away with everything and this debate may not be an exception. As long as Sarah Palin is charming and polite, she'll get through it the same way she's gotten through everything else.

And the charges of sexism are fantastic, aren't they? Basically, the Republican machine has done such a great job of turning everything into a gender issue that they themselves have been looked over for making everything a gender issue. Why would Biden lose if she cries? Because the public would react negatively to an old white guy making a woman cry, especially a woman who seems obsessive about her own appearance.

But being a woman or a mother doesn't make her a bad candidate. And she's not stupid because she's a woman: she's stupid for anybody. But making it about these issues and accusing the Left of hating on Palin because she's a woman is in fact sexist in and of itself. They're attempting to be as sexist as possible while demonizing the left for doing the same thing: it's Classic Karl Rove.

But it doesn't look it's going to get them anywhere this year. According to 538, Obama's going to win by a million points, minus 3-5% for being a minority that no one wants to admit they won't vote for when alone in a booth for the time it takes to point at a particular screen.

I've been wondering, out loud, if the Republicans either a) have a computer based voting scheme up their sleeves or b) if they just think they're going to win so badly that they to for granted that people weren't entirely retarded in this country. It seems like McCain wants to lose, maybe because he's old and tired and instead of being President, just wants a nap and a glass of prune juice. Maybe he's more senile than he lets on and thinks he's winning this election.

Unless it's option a, the Republicans are really stupid for having picked McCain. They're the Republicans! At least pick the guy who made the most money in fund raising!

Regardless, McCain's clearly retarded choice of Sarah Palin seems to be coming home to roost. You know why not everyone's a MAV-RIK, Senator McCain? Because being wild and crazy fucks up your shit.

Now learn from your mistakes and get back to Senate, dude.
