Obama's 30-minute ad, or, take a knee already, Senator
Dear Sen. Obama,
All right we get it, you are "amazing". It looks like you have this thing wrapped up. Take a knee.
I marvel at the masterful marketing your campaign has done. Tonight's 30-minute ad was no exception.
While several moments of the ad that were, well, lame (like they came out of Michael Moore's butt), there were some parts that told why I am going to vote for you and what I believe you can bring to this country.
I'm asking you Senator, please, as president, act with dignity. Avoid anything that is or could be construed as showboating.
No "aircraft carrier landings to tell us the mission is accomplished" behaviors of any kind, whether the issue is Iraq, energy or the economy.
Surround yourself with quality individuals dedicated to bettering the country.
Listen to your critics. Converse with them. Don't always write them off. There are plenty of us out here who have good ideas, even your political opponents. Don't ignore them.
Exercise your best judgment at all times, don't let your party become your boss.
Keep our military strong, and never overlook diplomatic solutions.
Never forget to show some humanity and humor now and then.
Be nice to the journalists. Yes, even Fox News, even when they lead the right wing media charge against you for taxing the rich a bit more, thereby destroying the very fabric of the American dream.
Make your every action and decision based on what's best for the country.
Remember, W already showed you every possible way you can crap your pants in the Oval Office. Simply recall his approach to something, anything at all, and you will have a perfect idea what not to do in the White House.
We're putting a lot of faith in you, Senator. Don't let us down.
